Voices of Support - Jason Mikesell, Teller County Sheriff

"I am proud to endorse Sheriff Roybal and recognize the importance of our collaborative efforts to enhance public safety throughout the Pikes Peak region.

Effective law enforcement requires strong partnerships that extend beyond jurisdictional boundaries. I appreciate Sheriff Roybal’s commitment to collaborative training and cross-deputizing our workforce to expand services, improve coordination, and make our communities safer.

I also value our shared efforts to support pro-public safety legislation that provides law enforcement with the tools needed to serve effectively while ensuring the constitutional rights and individual liberties of our citizens are protected. Strong public safety and respect for citizens’ rights must always go hand in hand.

Sheriff Roybal understands the importance of regional cooperation, shared resources, and principled leadership. I am proud to work alongside him and offer my endorsement as we continue working together to protect and serve the citizens of the Pikes Peak region."
