I’m running for re-election because the people of El Paso County deserve a sheriff who listens, leads with integrity, and never loses sight of who we serve.
Every decision I’ve made has been guided by the needs of our community, from improving safety and expanding services to advocating for responsible legislation.
I’ve seen firsthand the strength, resilience, and pride defining this county, and I’m committed to building a future where every resident feels safe, valued, and heard.

My campaign isn’t about a title, it’s about continuing to serve the people who make this county home.

I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, but I’m not done yet, there’s still important work ahead, and I intend to finish what we started together.

News - Sheriff Joseph Roybal Officially Launches Re-Election Campaign
On August 14, 2025, Sheriff Joseph Roybal officially kicked off his re-election campaign for El Paso County Sheriff with a highly successful launch event. A large crowd of supporters gathered to show their enthusiasm and continued trust in Sheriff Roybal's leadership.

During the event, Sheriff Roybal addressed attendees, answered questions, and spoke about the core pillars guiding his service to the community. He reaffirmed his commitment to public safety and integrity, stating progress has been made, but there is still important work ahead and he has no intention of slowing down.
​
The event also featured strong endorsements from key community leaders, including Congressman Jeff Crank and Jake Abendschan, President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 9, both of whom took the stage to express full support for Sheriff Roybal’s re-election.
