As your Sheriff, I believe that public safety is about more than just enforcement, it's about leadership, trust, and vision. Which is why I built our strategic plan around four key pillars: Community Trust, Reducing Victimization, Quality Service, and Responsible Legislation.

They represent a commitment to listening to our community, investing in prevention, providing top-tier service, and making sure our laws support, not hinder public safety. Community Trust
I remain committed to building strong, transparent relationships with our community by being present, listening, and staying engaged. Whether it's through neighborhood outreach or collaboration with local leaders, trust is built when we show up consistently and follow through. I believe public safety is a shared responsibility and trust is the foundation.
Reduce Victims​
Preventing crime and protecting our most vulnerable is a top priority. I will continue to invest in early intervention efforts, expand mental health partnerships, and enhance investigative capabilities to stop criminal activity before it happens. By focusing on prevention and accountability, we can reduce harm and ensure safer outcomes for everyone.
Quality Service​
Making our office more responsive means recruiting and retaining top talent, soliciting and acting on feedback, and working closely with partner agencies to deliver seamless, effective services for you and your family.
Legistation
I’ll continue monitoring proposed laws, speaking out for public safety–focused bills, combating harmful legislation, and even helping craft community‑oriented policies to ensure that Colorado laws help rather than hurt our long‑term safety.
