DA Michael Allen Endorses Joe!

The current District Attorney, Michael Allen, and the immediate former District Attorney, Dan May, have endorsed Joe Roybal as our next El Paso County Sheriff.

After careful consideration of the candidates in the race for El Paso County Sheriff, I have reached the decision to endorse Joe Roybal for El Paso County Sheriff. I am confident that Joe has the right experience and plan to raise the bar for public safety, and that he will be an important partner for collaboration.

Our county is now the largest in the State of Colorado and it continues to grow at a rapid pace. Joe has been on the job in the Sheriff’s Office in a variety of roles and his experience and vision for the future will serve our community well. We need a candidate that will be ready to go on the first day in office, and that candidate is Joe Roybal.

His more than 26-years of experience working in the Sheriff’s Office, coupled with his dedication to this community, gives him the insight and vision needed to guide our law enforcement community into the future. To be clear – Joe has a special connection to El Paso County because he was born and raised here, and he has dedicated his career to this community.

For all these reasons, I’m supporting and voting for Joe Roybal. Please join me in supporting Joe for Sheriff.
